Panda Tao

Panda Tao is very cheerful and kind, and his name means «large waves» in Chinese. The bear is sewn from a combined black and white viscose. His head on a double cotter pin turns in different directions. The limbs are also attached by the disk-cotter pin connections. The body of the toy is densely stuffed with wood sawdust and wool.

Panda Tao is dressed in a green diamond buttoned waistcoat made of Japanese silk. He has a silk bow around his neck and a straw hat on his head. All clothes are delicately aged. The bear sits confidently, stands with support. This miniature panda boat is made using sampan technology. The flat bottom of the boat, bow and stern are made of plywood. On the sides and inside it is sheathed with birch sticks. On top there is a superstructure for shelter, which is often installed on sampans. At the stern there is one wooden oar in a metal oarlock. The boat is painted with a walnut stain and delicately aged.
