In April 2020 in Münster, I was supposed to participate in my first Golden George competition. Of my three works, only one was nominated for the final — the Teddy bear panda Yongsheng. He took part in category 4 — a miniature Teddy bear up to 10 centimeters, undressed or dressed in handmade clothes. No more than three additional items were allowed. Teddy bear Yongsheng is a little panda, dressed in a children’s sea suit. He sits on a stand and holds a miniature boat.
Due to well-known events, the exhibition in Münster was canceled, and the Golden George competition was held online on September 24, 2020. My bear in its category competed with three more nominees. Unfortunately, the first time I failed to win the competition. My small prize was a Teddy bear head statuette, presented to all finalists of the competition. Of course, yet virtual. The real one will be given to me at the earliest opportunity.
I may get such an opportunity next year. Hopefully, the pandemic situation improves and we can visit Münster again for another competition. I continue to work on new projects that will strive to win the Golden George award 2021. See you in Münster!
