Finally, we edited a video of my trip to Münster in 2019. I tried to indicate all the amounts of expenses, but on the way back I paid in cash, so prices are not indicated everywhere. Mostly the material for the video was obtained from the DVR, but since it erases the old data, not all the moments of our trip have been preserved. But I tried to identify the important points of the journey in subtitles. Happy viewing!
Having gone for breakfast at the local restaurant of the hotel, we were once again able to inspect the place of overnight stay. This time it was light, so we saw a lot of parking spaces and additional buildings, gazebos with barbecues and much more. Hotel «Pod debami» occupies a large area, here you can even take a walk in the woods.
It was 9 am, we hurried to the border with Belarus. We arrived – no one is there. We drove up to the barrier, waited. When there were 5 cars, the customs officers quit «drinking tea» and went out to work. The standard procedure is border control, customs control. Then the same thing on the Belarusian border. And here we are in Belarus.
Immediately after the border is the city of Brest. We stopped at a cafe to drink coffee. There in the parking lot, I saw a charging station for cars running on electricity. In Germany, we have seen many such charges. For Russia and Belarus – this is still a rarity.
While I was at the exhibition my cousin several times called me to visit. We planned to spend the night in Minsk, where we booked a room in the hotel Planet. My cousin lives in Gantsevichi – it is a little before reaching Minsk, and away from the road. We decided to take advantage of her offer, and changed the route.
Navigator led us along a terrible gravel road. The path was very winding, the road crossed the same railway tracks several times. There is also the level of gasoline approaching zero. We went to the only gas station in the area, but we had to wait almost an hour for the tank to be drained.
When we came to relatives, we quickly found their home with a mezzanine. We were met by my sister Lyuba. She was very happy that we decided to call on a visit. Later came from work her husband Valera. He took us on a short tour around the town of Gantsevichi. We looked at the school where all their relatives studied, drove through the main streets of the city, stopped at several grocery stores. I noticed that in Gantsevichi almost everything was like in Soviet times – a monument to Lenin, the name of the streets in the Soviet way, small food shops with friendly shop assistants. For a moment it seemed that we were back in the past, in the USSR.
In the evening, the hosts organized us a delicious dinner in the courtyard. Also came to visit Valera’s sister – Valentina. We laid the table in the gazebo, grilled kebabs, drank a meeting. We sat by the fire and inhaled the scent of smoldering apple wood. Lilac smelled pleasantly in the garden, and birdies were chirping.
