I regularly update the design of my table at the exhibitions in which I participate. This time I got the idea to make a miniature carousel for Teddy bears. They would be spinning on it, like on a podium, taking turns showing off before visitors. That way, I could seat them together and save some desk space.
In order to implement this project, I took my husband as an assistant. He agreed with pleasure, as he himself likes to work with wood. Having developed the layout, we began to look for materials to create a carousel, a stepper motor to set it in motion, and a sound module for musical accompaniment. The creation process was not fast, but sure. After each step, we tested our product, brought it to mind. The result is our first experimental carousel.
I was able to test the carousel in action at the recent Hello Teddy exhibition in December 2019. A lot of visitors lingered near my desk due to the presence of the Merry-Go-Round. The carousel was even interested in people from the world of cinema. Despite the fact that the carousel was experimental, I was persuaded to lease it for a couple of days to shoot a commercial.
I plan to continue working on this project. There will be new carousels. Perhaps the product goes on sale. But first I need to make sure that the product is ready for consumer use, prepare assembly and use instructions, etc.
