Today, the first thing we decided to go to the city center and buy souvenirs for everyone. Leaving the car in the parking lot, we went to the old town. On Monday, the shops work, so we can see what is for sale. On the way to the shops, we were met by another church – the oldest Catholic church in Munster. We went inside, there was nobody there, not even the clergy. In the hall there were several pedestals on which one could read philosophical religious sayings. Behind the altar lay a sculpture of Jesus Christ on the floor. Around her, on a thin wire, plates were fixed, on which interesting phrases were printed in a very small font. For example, «I breathe, I accelerate the rhythm.» To read these phrases, a magnifying glass was attached to each label. On one of the side walls was a board with notes. They could indicate the countdown/countup to any event.
Then we went to the Children’s World store. On the way there we met a car-coach. It was so unusual – the driver was sitting on the goats and driving the wheel instead of the reins. The vehicle had a license plate and turn signals. In the Children’s world was a lot of fun and interesting toys. On the floor below you could go down a spiral hill. Judging by the width of the strip, this is not for us 🙂
After we went to the souvenir shop, bought gifts for friends. Having finished shopping, we returned to the car and paid for parking. Parking in Munster is very expensive. There is practically no free parking. If the sign is P, then there is parking only with a permit or for local residents.
Cyclists drive around the city. I think there are more of them here than motorists. Everywhere there are bike paths. They drive either along the edge of the highway, or along the marked part of the pavement. For them, there are special parking, at the intersection with all they have an advantage. At each intersection there are separate traffic lights for cyclists. Not only young people go on bicycles to study, but also retirees and employees of various services. In Munster, there are many souvenirs and toys with the image of a cyclist, because the cyclist is the symbol of the city.
