We left Warsaw at 7 in the morning. The road to Berlin passed by the cities of Lodz and Poznan. We had to drive several paid sections of the road. Approaching the paid site, we took a ticket and drove to the point of payment for travel. On the freeway there was a maximum speed limit of 140 kmph. The weather was windy, a strong side wind was blowing, so it was not possible to drive fast. The fields were very dusty. Today, after the end of the Easter holiday, there were a lot of cars on the roads, including trucks.
We crossed the border with Germany across the Oder River over the bridge. Mostly there was no speed limit, the road is smooth, without flaw. There were a lot of cars, every now and then we had to stand in traffic. Driving up to Berlin, we stopped at a TÜV service station and purchased a plaque. The plaque is a green sticker on the windshield of the car, which allows you to enter the ecological zones of Germany.
After quiet Warsaw, we plunged into the turbulent life of Berlin. The rules of the road, some drivers do not comply: passing through a red light, do not turn on the turn signals, go to the oncoming lane. In Berlin, a lot of people of non-indigenous nationality, so there was almost no audible German speech.
We settled in the hotel Messe in Charlottenburg. In the late afternoon, we walked around the area. Then we went to Alexanderplatz by train (S-BAHN), visited the Alexa shopping center. After a little shopping, we had a snack at the Lido Kirsons Baltic restaurant. They speak Russian well and very tasty cuisine.
Since it was already late, we returned to the hotel, walked before bedtime and went to bed. Tomorrow we are waiting for Münster, an exhibition and bears.
