I decided not to delay the filing of documents for visas and started collecting documents in advance. Unfortunately, at this time there was a change in the operator of visa centers for German overseas missions in Russia. I had to wait until VFS.Global finished its work, and the new VisaMetric Visa Application Center would start work. This did not greatly affect the list of documents that had to be collected. Therefore, the work was in full swing.

First of all, we built a trip plan. In all cities where we will stay, hotel rooms have been booked for which there is parking. Lists of these bookings and travel plan must be provided to the visa application center. Then we filled out visa application forms. This helped us a convenient application Videx. It allows you to save an incomplete questionnaire in order to add missing data at any time.

We will travel most of the trip, so we filled out an application for a tourist visa. Visiting the exhibition, that is, «Culture» was noted as a secondary reason for entry. As confirmation of my participation in the exhibition, we received official invitations from the exhibition organizers. For me – as for the exhibitor, for the husband – as for the accompanying person.

We made copies of all documents: Russian and international passports, marriage certificates, certificates of registration of property rights. We also prepared a bank account statement and a certificate from my husband’s place of work. For the car prepared a vehicle certificate, international and Russian driving licenses. We took 2 photographs and medical insurance for our stay in the Schengen zone. The production of the Green Card was left for later, since it can be done not earlier than 30 days before the start of the trip.

And with these papers we went to the visa application center. We stood in a small queue, then we waited a long time until all of our documents and copies will be processed. When they accepted all the documents, they sent us to hand over the fingerprints. Dactyloscopy was fast enough, although we had to stand in line again. And after 2 days came the information that the passports can be picked up. That’s it, the visas are ready!
