To the celebration of Holy Easter in April 2017 I made funny Easter bunnies and called them Ellie and Maggie. They are made of German viscose, hand-painted in soft pink shades. The length of the ears is about 5 cm, large paws, whiskers and tail. The clothes are made of tender batiste and cotton, delicately tinted with oil and herbs. This gave them a vintage style and made them whimsical.

The Easter bunny is a symbol of Easter in the West, while in Russia and Ukraine they use cakes and colored eggs. Children of Europe and America believe in a fairy tale story that the Easter bunny hides in his rabbit’s nest colorful chocolate eggs. But why did the rabbit get the role of the animal that hides the eggs? After all, the egg carries a chicken! It turns out that the chicken just could not carry such beautiful and bright eggs. Therefore, it was the bunny that took root in the role of a magical beast, carrying magic eggs.
